"Dear fellow enthusiasts, I’d like to discuss the necessity of balancing drive shafts and similar components from both a technical and economic standpoint. Clearly, an unbalanced shaft causes vibrations, which may speed up wear and tear. But how much does this matter in real life? Is the high cost of balancing justified by the potential increase in drive shaft lifespan?"
